Avifauna surveys
We carry out reliable avifauna surveys the high quality
of which results from skilled planning and reporting, the
consulting of professional, experienced bird counters, and
dozens of completed avifauna surveys drawn up throughout
Finland.
Mire plant surveys and other vegetation surveys
Our broad mire plant experience includes the identification
of mosses. We also have years of experience in completing
other vegetation surveys in a professional manner. We have
drawn up dozens of vegetation surveys concerning mires and
dry land in different parts of Finland.
Butterfly and moth surveys
Jari Venetvaara has been collecting moths and butterflies
(and plants) since 1968, the collection now encompassing
more than 22,000 moths and butterflies representing over
1000 species. Our commercial projects include the inventory
of butterfly and moth species typically encountered in mires
in particular.
Key biotope surveys
We also have years of experience in drawing up key biotope
surveys connected with environmental, forest and water legislation
and EU directives.
Land use and management plans and Natura assessments
Our most extensive land use projects we have completed to
date are the land use and management plan for Linnaistensuo
and Pesäkallio in Lahti and the compilation of the
Natura assessment in 2002-03. The project is part of EU's
Interreg III a programme that covers the coastal areas of
Southern Finland.
